Mandela Day

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
– Nelson Mandela

Here are some suggestions on how you can spend your 67 minutes making a difference:

Wash windows at various houses

Cook soup/food for a house

Peel and cut up veggies (either on or off campus) for our houses and programmes

The boys on the Langlaagte campus are cleaning up an unused room to turn into a arts & crafts venue for all the kids on the campus. They will need craft supplies like wool, knitting needles, crochet needles and any art materials (paint, canvas’, paintbrushes, paper, etc.).

Baby car seats/rockers: Our Maria Kloppers campus is in need of baby car seats/rockers for their baby ward. Our babies use these to sleep in, especially in winter when they have blocked noses. The chairs currently used are worn out and are not really safe for baby use.

Together, let’s make a difference in our communities!

If you have any suggestions or would like to get involved please contact us and we can provide more detailed information. We look forward in taking hands with you!
